New Year, New Decade and I have added a new skill to my spiritual repertoire …. numerology.
It’s interesting that each new year people become curious about what the year ahead will have in store for them. There are a plethora of articles like 2020 – astrological forecast, 2020 – numerology forecast and when the Chinese New Year comes around, we’ll all be looking up what animal we are and what kind of a year we have ahead of us.
I thought I’d jump on the bandwagon and do my own 2020 numerology forecast. Numerology is something that I’ve had a side-line interest in, just like I do with astrology; except I’ve taken numerology and evolved it into my spiritual skills, linking it in with my intuition.
2020 is a 4 year. What does that mean? Simply put, taking the numbers of the year 2020 and adding them together, 2 + 0 + 2 + 0 = 4.
What lessons, challenges and opportunities does a four year have in store for us and what perhaps can we gain from the year ahead? As with Astrology, Numerology is more complicated than just boiling the year down to one number. It also depends on our own personal numerology, or put more simply, who we are as individuals and how our individual characteristics will interact with the overall lessons, challenges and opportunities the energy of a 4 year will bring to us.
The general characteristics of 4, from a numerological perspective, are: organised, focused, grounded and hardworking. However, on the challenging side of things, we may be subjected to or even suffer from intolerance, narrow-mindedness and stubbornness.
Depending on you as an individual, the lessons of the 4 year ahead could include surrendering to and embracing change. For others, this might also mean persisting through adversity or reaping the rewards from coming through the other side of challenges or the hard work put into a project. If we think about surrendering to and/ or embracing change on a large scale and in relation to political affairs closer to home in the UK, we can see leaving the EU will bring change whether you like it or not.
The lessons throughout this year will also be individually felt. Get focused on what you want to achieve and find balance. Remember, hardworking doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have fun too. Alternatively, if you tend to be the sort of person that flits from one thing to the next, perhaps this year will help you to be more grounded and find balance by being more focused on where you are headed. Either way, part of the key to the lessons this year will be organisation and focus. Set small goals towards the greater goal you wish to achieve.
Change is inevitable, so why not focus your efforts on manifesting and utilising the 4 energy towards steering personal change in the direction of your goals and aspirations, bringing balance into your lifestyle and reaping the rewards of your hard work?
There is an air of optimism in the air this year and it depends on you and how you chose to see change. The old glass-half-full or glass-half-empty philosophy comes to mind. For those that have had a particularly challenging year last year and have managed to come through the other side of it, this year should help you reap the rewards from your persistence and perseverance through last years’ challenges, providing you learnt your lesson or have grown from the experience(s).
Another aspect to this year for those that might be otherwise head down and shoulder to the grindstone: be open to the optimistic air this year brings, be adaptable, flexible and ‘think outside the box’, particularly if you need to bring balance into your otherwise focused and unchanging ideals. This will help bring new opportunities to you and perhaps help you ‘reap what you have sown’ through your hard work. So, don’t let the opportunity slip through your fingers and make sure you celebrate your success.
Some numerologists are preferring to think of 2020 as the master number 22. Taking a brief look at this, only because I think it is worth exploring all aspects – 22 is about reaching higher levels of consciousness, turning dreams into reality, being inspirational and forward-thinking, which fits in with ‘thinking outside the box’, all whilst keeping balance. As with all things, there is two sides: bringing dreams into reality and working as an inspiration or inspirationally; the flip side can bring feelings of insecurity and heightened sensitivity. If the master number effect comes into your path this year, bear in mind this year is also teaching you to keep the balance, keep grounded and that to reap the rewards you must also put in hard work.
Think of this year as a declaration to building on your intentions, to create balance in your life at the same time as being open to new opportunities you’ve worked hard for.
