2020 has been a year of experimenting and pushing personal boundaries whether you like it or not – well, it has for me and I am sure others too. Without a doubt, everyone has been affected one way or another by the global pandemic and lockdowns. Still, in the true human spirit, many of us look for positives and ways to make the most out of a non-idyllic situation.

I’ve had many ideas over the years, some of which I’ve let go, and some I’ve acted on. A few years ago, I started The Progressive Soul Series, which included a 10-week development group and mentorships; some other plans were forming too but there wasn’t enough time for them all. Then 2020 changed things… The lockdown has provided time and space to put some of those ideas into action. One such idea was to do some podcasts with a little help from my friend – Andra. Over the last few years, Andra has helped me put all my ideas into action, probably with more patience than I am aware of.  At times there was success and at times we had periods of inaction.  Nothing’s changed, ha!

During our times of planning and talking about all sorts of things we found ourselves on a multi layered journey together. Part of it was discovering Andra’s questions – to understand my thoughts, perception and experience from her non-spiritualist, non-mediumistic point of view – which ended up generating thought provoking chats together. Personally, I found myself challenged in different ways. Partly to explain things in relatable terms and partly because it meant I went on to contemplate the questions, challenging my own thoughts and current understanding. Part of life is growing; if we are growing, then our level of understanding will change with that growth. Therefore, it’s not about having finite answers – I have current perceptions and understandings at a point in time. It may well be that further down my path my understanding will evolve. Thus – The Progressive Soul.

The thought came to me that I enjoyed talking about these subjects.  I had done a few zoom interviews and started to enjoy those, which I didn’t expect.  Then I decided it would be a great idea to get together with Andra and do podcasts. We bounced ideas about and together we were inspired to dovetail them into the Progressive Soul as a podcast series. Depending on your understanding, these podcasts may or may not resonate with you. They may give you food for thought or merely plant a seed that is cultivated by you at your own pace. That then will be your progressive soul journey.

During this time of global change, I managed to convince Andra to help me put some podcasts together.    In the lead up, speaking for myself, I went through many doubts and insecurities. When we finally coordinated ourselves and stepped outside of our comfort zones, we enjoyed the experience. So, we decided to do a series of 7 (that’s the numerology coming in again). Probably the hardest part is keeping the podcasts short.

The series starts with 0. Owning Your Power. You can tell we are finding our way and just going with a flow. These podcasts are not meant to be polished or give definitive answers. They are q & a style chats.  They are meant to be thought provoking and for those who choose to listen, to inspire personal investigations, thoughts, inspirations. The series titles are as follows and will be shared throughout 2021 while we work on the next series…

Part of the Progressive Soul Podcast series lead me onto some artistic projects. I have created over 100 images as of December 2020, playing and experimenting. Believe it or not, art was my passion from a tiny age, I went on to do an illustration and graphic design course at university which turned into a BA in Advertising. Advertising was not a passion. Now art is creeping back into my life in way that bring me joy again – firing up the passion for creation. I’m not sure where it will take me, however the experimenting is generating new artistic projects.  Along with the podcast series, these artistic expressions are evolving too. As they do, they will be available for sale on my website. So, you’ll have to keep checking back to see what’s new.
