My Conclusion
If you’ve been following my thoughts and perspective on the different reincarnation theories you will have gathered that I’m not convinced by the notion that we live a life of lessons only to forget those lessons and come around for another life of ups and downs, which we all have.
My spiritualist philosophy is that the soul progresses through the human experience into the next phase of life that we call Spirit. In the spirit realm, the soul continues to progress on its evolutional journey through the spirit realm experience. Therefore, we progress through our life on earth as a human being with a soul, spirit and mind – consciousness. All of which are within and around our physical body. The only thing that changes at physical death is we no longer have a physical body. Our soul – which to me is our life force – the spirit and mind – consciousness continue the journey of progression. Because the soul, spirit and individual consciousness we are is not solely in the physical body. It is my understanding that the soul is the power, the energy force that encapsulates all that we are in the physical and then spiritual. The only difference is that we no longer have a physical body.
In simple terms, mediums who are proficient will give evidence of the continuation of life beyond the physical world, in the spirit realm, by giving evidence from your loved ones through shared memories and information that can be verified by the recipient. A medium relays the information received. The recipient should be able to acknowledge the information and if not known at the time, they should be able to clarify the information given at a later date. Often there is evidence given that our loved ones know what has/ is happening with those still in the physical. Particularly if it is important to them or they have a comment to make. At this point, it seems impossible that our soul will be having another physical life experience (to me).
There are hundreds of thousands of people that don’t believe in an afterlife or that are not spiritual in any way. So there will be hundreds of thousands of souls (people) that will need to start their spiritual understanding when they realise life has not simply ended. This means the spiritual journey of these souls starts in the realm we call spirit. To my mind, this is a rebirth, going from the physical world to the spirit realm. We, the soul, the spirit and the consciousness still exist, just in a different form.
If this concept is recognised as the reincarnation of the soul as it progresses, then I am on board with that theory. However, this is not what people mean when they talk about reincarnation.

Nature shows us that life is progressive, butterfly lays eggs, eggs become caterpillars, which become a chrysalis and onto a butterfly.
Because my theory is progression-based, I am of the philosophy that there will come a time when the memory of our life on earth will fade. It will become less important, especially as those nearest and dearest to us join us in the spirit realm. Naturally, this can take several earthly generations, unless, of course, we don’t have children. In time, as there is no one left close enough to us to keep our memory ‘alive’ in the physical, perhaps our experiences and memories become absorbed into a melting pot of life stories. Imaginably we will start to lose our sense of gender and become genderless? Maybe we progress to spiritual beings or take on an angelic form? That I do not know and certainly don’t have evidence of.
Spiritually, all religions speak of and are seeking at-one-ment with God or with the Creator. It seems to me that this is only possible through the progression of the soul into the spirit realm and whatever lays beyond that. My theory, as mentioned in other blogs, is that the soul is the life force within us all and it connects us to each other and God/ The Creator, whatever you may call ‘it’. When I was young ‘it’ was Higher Force. We are an expression and expansion of God and consciousness through our soul’s journey in this physical world into the next and beyond that.
No doubt we are in a state of being that demands we have experiences; whether we learn from those experiences or not is choice-based. Sometimes we need to reflect on what has been to grow. The good news, if we don’t quite learn all that we could have or chose to when in the physical world, is that we have the opportunity to reflect on our earthly experiences, contemplate and continue our growth in the spiritual experience. This can be powerful healing between the worlds.
